The entire scope and discussion about Lean Manufacturing is very exciting. The concept is so profit generating that one of my friends is running a call center dedicated to lean manufacturing consulting. I was wondering "How in the World can he do that?". I was pretty convinced that Lean techniques are tailor-made for manufacturing sectors and was convinced that this couldn't be done, but my colleague keeps sharing his successes when we meet after work. It is starting to look like the call center will be a success and that the Lean Manufacturing techniques can be applied across sectors. I'm impressed with his initiative.
