I was fortunate enough to spend a year abroad, mostly in England's Lake District. Although I loved my time there, there were some challenges. One was when I was hit on the head with a rock that fell off the concrete wall we were building one day at work. Thank goodness for the employers liability insurance that is mandatory there! The medical bills for my injuries were completely covered. Not that four stitches and a night at the hospital would have been outrageous, but I certainly didn't have any extra cash at the time! I was barely making ends meet as it was.
