Some say that in the Philippines, politics is a dirty game but everyone plays because it’s the only game in town. While not all politics is dirty, in the Philippines Politics pervades every aspect of life, and not just in situations of governance and leadership. Even at a corporate level, or even at a family level, there are instances of politics at work. It is foolish to try to do anything significant in this country without understanding its politics. If one wishes to do business in the Philippines, the politics of the country should be studied, because it could never be avoided.
