A workplace harassment charge which causes tangible harassment action happens when an employee has their job status impeded by someone in a managerial position.  Only someone in a management or supervisory position can be charged with is kind of workplace harassment.  The changes in employee status can include hiring, firing, promotion, non-promotion, demotion, and other similar things.  Other forms of workplace harassment include the use of racial epitaphs, the use of drawings or pictures offensive to a certain race or ethnicity, offensive comments regarding a person’s religious affiliation, or demeaning comments about an employee’s age for those 40 and above.
