We were just talking about his new job. Been head-hunted by them. Not bad, I thought.

It's a mess, they've spent over Three Million on it, so far. The IT staff still can't get it to work properly.

The old company had this system, where all the planned jobs could be created, then filed. ready for the

forthcoming maintaince period.  All ready to pull up & print when the Machine came into the workshop.

But, the new company just can't get anything to work.  They use Oracle, and the system just can't do it.

I have to copy the results into a Excel sheet, and sort on that, painfull, he said.  Sounds like they need to find some sort of

 warehouse software  or some such thing. Badly. Or just dump the system that they are using and go to another

accounting software of some sort.  Nah, he said I just come home @ five, and forget about it.

Good idea. I said.
