Allways good to find musicians taking rock in new directions. I saw Martin’s new band the Armada at Womadelaide in March. They played at least 3 Tea Party songs including “the Grand Bazaar”, “Sister Awake” and “Save Me’ with the Beatles TNK (tomorrow never knows) in the middle. Martin played a selection of acoustic guitars. Drummer Wayne Sheehy stands before an array of congas, doumbek, bongos, djembes, snare, bohran, bass drum; and an array of cymbals.
Great stuff…….

@TowedHaulProductions

Check them out in album order so you can get a sense of the band’s progression. I wish I could discover this band for the first time now… so many good songs, you’ll wonder how you never heard of them before :)

Jeff Martin, the lead singer, still does lots of solo shows and he also has a new band called the Armada.

I saw the tea party live everytime they came to melbourne Australia they were my favourite band in my twenties and the doors were my favourite growing up Jeff mentioned many times in concert the references made to the similarities between himself and Jim and their music similarities also . He loved it and took it as a huge compliment he was greatly influenced by the doors its plainly obvious he didnt try to hide it It IS WHAT IT IS TWO AMAZINGLY TALENTED POETIC BANDS I LOVE EM !!!!!!!!!!
