Many young people will not wear sunglasses when sunbathing so that they don’t get rings around their eyes, not even optic nerve sunglasses. I remember when I was young we had these two little plastic, light blue ovals connected by a nose piece that we used for sunbathing. I haven’t seen those in years. Anyhow, you need to protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, especially when you are around the water. The sun’s rays bounce off of the water and go in all directions creating glare. If you are squinting and your eyes are tearing, you need to put on some eye protection. Even if it is a sun visor, put something on to protect your eyes!
